1. Embed Hazard Reviews into Procurement
Prevent undocumented chemicals from entering the workplace by connecting chemical purchasing directly to safety management. Before a new material is introduced into operations, safety procedures should require updating the chemical inventory, obtaining the relevant SDS, and revising the written program.
2. Inspect and Label Every Container
Establish routine supervisor walkthroughs that specifically check for secondary container labels. Treating unlabeled spray bottles or temporary containers with the same urgency as physical safety hazards reinforces compliance culture across all shifts.
3. Test SDS Accessibility with Spot Drills
